Retro - Beat
At retro-beat.com, we are committed to providing accurate descriptions of the condition of our music media. We use the following grading scale to classify our products:
SEALED: Never been opened. Flawless condition, with no damage whatsoever. Depending on the manufacturer, it may or may not be factory sealed.
M (Mint): New item. Never played or used.
NM (Near Mint): The media is in excellent condition, showing no obvious signs of wear. It has likely been played only a few times and is free from scratches or scuffs. This condition guarantees a superb listening experience.
EX (Excellent): The media is in outstanding condition, with very light surface marks that do not affect playback quality. It is well cared for and may have been played but remains close to pristine.
VG+ (Very Good Plus): The media shows some signs of wear, such as light scratches or scuffs, but is still in good working condition. There may be some surface noise, but it does not significantly detract from the overall listening experience.
VG (Very Good): The media has noticeable wear, including scratches or scuffs that may affect playback. Surface noise is more apparent, especially during quiet passages. However, the media is still playable and enjoyable.
G (Good): The vinyl may have continuous low-level crackles, pops, etc., but not so loud as to make the music completely unlistenable or unenjoyable to the casual listener. It may also have more serious scratches causing popping on one or two songs, while the rest of the record plays fine. One track might skip on the CD.
